If you are thinking of cleaning and preserving your gown you are on the right track. Even if you want to resell your dress you should take action. The real value in your gown is a keepsake for you and future generations to enjoy or even wear down aisle. We believe the marriage is a special event and an experience, a special time in life to be remembered and cherished.
Most importantly don’t forget about your gown. You should have it cleaned as soon as possible after the wedding.
We have been cleaning and preserving bridal gowns for over 30 years. So this really gives us an advantage. The dry cleaners around town will advertise that they will clean a bridal dress but it is not their every day thing. Also, using petroleum based or chemical based cleaners puts the beading and details of your dress in danger.
We are fortunate in that we use a fully eco-friendly, totally organic cleaning method. Your gown is handled with care and hand treated for cleaning. We even go so far as to include 30 minutes of free re-beeding, fixing wear and tear. We use an organic substrate to remove sugar based stains which will cause the dress to yellow and brown. We then aqua-clean the gown and eurofinish the dress for long term storage.
Another important factor is that we do not “Box” the gown or recommend “Boxing” of the gown. This is harmful. We use a long terms specially designed acid-free bag that allows the gown to breathe. And best of all you can show future generations your gown without worrying!
All work is quoted up front as well, so you know the exact amount which ranges from $150 (for simple) to $400. The archival bag is 64.95. More intricate gowns can be more. But please remember, please remove that plastic bag! It is for transport only. This will help save your gown over a long period of time.
