When it comes to choosing your formalwear provider you have to remember the key goal which is to look your very best on the wedding day. Our mission is to provide tuxedo rentals that we would wear to our own wedding ensuring the best in quality.

You have to ask yourselves some key questions, because renting formalwear that will end up looking good has a lot of details that must be looked after in order to get it right.

We hope the following points will guide you when you choose your provider.

Professional Service

  • The most important aspect to formal wear is service. You require competent trained consultants who understand styles, measuring fit and can provide excellent service during the selection process and on delivery day.
  • Really you should avoid clerks or order takers as there is a lot to measuring, fitting and delivering a proper tux!
  • We provide a final fitting where we take the time to dress you head to toe in your selection, tailor and ensure that your rental tuxedo fits great.

Try It On

  • Always try on your selection from head to toe before renting. We take the time and effort to dress you fully in many choices during the selection process.
  • So many stores will show you a mannequin, picture and swatch cards and have you select your styles without trying your selections on.
  • You only get to try the style on the week of the wedding and there is no recourse if the selection doesn’t look good or fit.
  • Run, don’t walk from the store if you can’t try your selections on. You wouldn’t even buy a pair of sneakers if you couldn’t try them on.

Last Minute

  • Try to rent as soon as possible. Don't leave it to the last minute.
  • We recommend having it done at least 3 months before the wedding.
  • Booking earlier guarantees you will get best selection.

Complete Wedding Party

  • One of our biggest advantages at The Bridal Centre and what makes us really the best choice is that we understand what the bride and her bridesmaid will be wearing to the wedding.
  • We can co-ordinate the proper tux styles, shirt colours and accessory colours.
  • We even have the bridesmaid’s swatches at our store for reference.
  • Many tuxedo stores don't understand current trends, and how nice the actual wedding dresses brides are wearing. We get it, so you will show up looking coordinated.

  • Quality and condition of the tuxedos you are renting is our top priority. We select and carry the very best in tuxedo jackets available.
  • We are very proud of our DiMilo line, which is exclusive to our store. Made by Coppley Apparel right here in Canada with a high end italian fabric.
  • This same line is sold at high end retail stores throughout Calgary. This quality translates into you feeling great because you are in a very well constructed garment that fits and is so comfortable to wear.
  • You get what you pay for! Your wedding day is not a place to cut corners. Looking your best is about selecting the best and making sure your tuxedo enhances the wedding day.

Pricing

  • We really feel that you should look to choose a store that is up front with their pricing. You will find at The Bridal Centre that we range in price from basic to premium but we don't have hidden charges.
  • You will find that if you take the time to price everything that we are the same price as other stores but offer better quality formal wear and service.
  • We include a free luxury rental shirt upgrade, free flat front pants and don't tack on a hidden damage waiver.
  • So many places advertise a low price for a tuxedo that people simply don't want. It's either out of fashion or old and ratty.
  • Beware of up-charges for vests, damage waivers early pickup and mens black socks. This adds $40 to $50 from the advertised low price.
  • Beware of false "Grooms Free" with 4 paid offers. Essentially you will be paying for half a rental by the time they add on the hidden charges.
  • Remember you get what you pay for, and this is so important for your wedding day or special event.

Out of Town Atendees

It's so common that every wedding party will have someone or many people that are travelling in the week of the wedding. The assumption then is that you need a national chain to look after the formalwear so the guys can get measured in their hometown and pick up the tuxedo in Calgary.
This is one of the worst ways of going about it, because the formalwear is shipped in from out of city and there can be no last minute adjustments or changes if (and there most always is) something doesn't fit or is the wrong style.
We are the best choice for out of town attendee's because we have all our formalwear right in store. That means when they arrive and changes are required we're able to do it right on the spot!
We save so many wedding's every year from national chains. They actually send their customers to us to fix the problems!
We have an onsite tailor who can make adjustments on the spot, which is also a huge advantage.
Remember, your wedding day is so important and this is never lost on us. This is a huge factor that should be part of your decision making.
